Il sito IGN durante un'intervista a Mark Hamill presente al Cannes Film Festival, ha dichiarato che questo potrebbe essere il suo ultimo lavoro con il team Rocksteady, lasciando intendere che in questo secondo capitolo, Joker potrebbe morire. Hamill ha affermato: “This will be my last, there’s no question about that. But it’s the last hurrah,” in modo enigmatico forse sottointendeva che doppierà la parte di Joker per l'ultima volta, proprio perché quest'ultimo morirà?
